Shoppers in Armenia face three major hurdles when buying from Chinese platforms:
1. Prolonged postal transit and missing packages: Standard postal packets endure multi-leg transfers across Europe or the Middle East, with tracking going dark for weeks and packages often taking up to two months or disappearing entirely;
2. EAEU customs limits and 20% VAT: Under EAEU personal import rules, packages valued under €200 EUR and 31kg enter duty-free. Exceeding these limits triggers 15% customs duties plus Armenian 20% VAT, often requiring tedious in-person customs clearance at Yerevan post offices;
3. Carrier rejection of daily seasonings and tech gear: Hot pot bases, dried spices, herbal remedies, drone accessories, and power banks are routinely rejected by traditional air couriers.
DDExpress overcomes South Caucasus shipping challenges with professional end-to-end logistics:
1. 30 days of free storage and multi-package consolidation: Our Nanjing warehouse collects parcels from Taobao and Pinduoduo, unboxes manufacturer packaging, and combines items into a single reinforced carton to minimize volumetric weight;
2. Industrial vacuum volume reduction: Winter jackets, blankets, and clothing are compressed by 50%-70% using heavy-duty vacuum machines, saving significant air freight costs;
3. Compliance screening and EAEU €200 duty-free planning: Our customs team assists in keeping single shipments within the €200 duty-free ceiling and utilizes compliant channels for permitted food, cosmetics, and electronics;
4. Direct flights to Yerevan (EVN) and citywide delivery: Shipments fly into Yerevan Zvartnots International Airport (EVN), clear customs smoothly, and are dispatched directly to Kentron, Arabkir, and residential addresses across Yerevan.
