The National Tax and Customs Administration of Hungary (NAV) enforces a 27% standard VAT (ÁFA), the highest rate in the EU. Traditional postal parcels (DDU) arriving at Budapest customs are systematically assessed for 27% ÁFA, and Magyar Posta imposes administrative processing fees ranging from hundreds to thousands of Hungarian Forints. Language barriers and physical postal notices frequently cause parcels to be detained for weeks or returned to China.
DDExpress bypasses these risks with an all-inclusive DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) commercial express channel. Our unified freight quote covers Chinese export clearance, direct air trunk freight, Hungarian import clearance, and prepayment of the 27% ÁFA. Parcels clear customs in bulk via green commercial channels at Budapest Airport, requiring zero paperwork or unexpected fees from the recipient.
Hungary's chilly winters require warm down coats, wool overcoats, thermal underwear, and heavy blankets. While light in actual weight, their bulky volume causes standard carriers to calculate shipping costs based on volumetric weight (L×W×H÷6000) at several times their actual weight.
Our Nanjing consolidation warehouse utilizes commercial-grade vacuum heat-sealers to extract air from puffy garments, compressing package volume by 40% to 60%. This slashes billable volumetric weight down close to actual weight, saving substantial freight costs. Combined with 30 days of free warehouse storage, shoppers can consolidate multiple orders into one master carton without paying multiple base-weight fees.
Compliance with Hungarian customs authorities ensures seamless transit: [Permitted Categories]: 1. Personal OTC Health Supplies: Factory-packaged cold medicine, digestive tablets, and first-aid goods for personal use (90-day supply, non-controlled).
[Strictly Prohibited Goods]: 1. Meat products (jerky, sausage, cured meat) and raw egg/dairy items; 2. Counterfeit luxury items and trademark infringements; 3.
